Job Location: Andheri(E), Mumbai
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our Linux-based servers and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux administration and be familiar with various open-source technologies.
Key Responsibility:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers and systems
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Monitor and optimize server performance and availability
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control
- Maintain security protocols and ensure compliance with security policies
- Automate routine tasks using shell scripts and other tools
- Stay current with new developments in Linux and open-source technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and resolve issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in Linux administration
- Strong knowledge of Linux-based operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
- Experience with shell scripting and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.)
- Knowledge of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
